Usually no — modern bay windows are engineered to be self-supporting, so replacement of an existing bay typically doesn't require any additional structural work. We'll assess the existing structure at survey to confirm.

Yes — most bay windows are designed with a fixed central pane and opening side panels, but you can specify any of the panels (or all three) as openings. We'll recommend the best configuration based on the room's ventilation needs.
