Glass & Glazing
Specialist glass and glazing systems engineered for performance — warmer rooms, quieter homes, safer openings and lower bills, year after year.
Laminated Glass
Laminated glass is made from two or more panes of glass bonded together with a tough plastic interlayer (typically PVB or SentryGlas). If the glass is broken — by impact, accident or attempted forced entry — the fragments stay stuck to the interlayer rather than falling away, keeping the opening sealed and dramatically reducing the risk of injury.

Stays Together, Even When Broken
It's the standard specification for safety-critical locations (low-level glazing, doors, balustrades, overhead glass) and the smart choice for ground-floor windows, French doors and any opening where security or sound reduction matters. The interlayer also blocks 99% of UV radiation and noticeably reduces external noise compared to standard glazing.
- Holds together when broken — safer & more secure
- Acoustic interlayers reduce external noise
- Blocks 99% of UV radiation
- Meets UK safety glazing standards (BS EN 12600)
- Ideal for doors, balustrades & low-level glazing
- Can be combined with toughened or Low-E units

Safety First, Insulation By Pairing
Laminated glass doesn't have an inherent U-value advantage on its own — it's specified for safety, security and sound. To get an energy rating, it's combined into a double or triple-glazed sealed unit, where it performs in line with standard insulating glass.
How To Verify
Ask your installer for the U-value of the complete sealed unit (not the laminated pane alone), and check the BFRC rating on the finished window. Look for a 'class 1B1' or higher rating on the laminated pane itself for safety performance.
